Natural Honey Massage Mask Recipe

Honey Face Mask Recipe

There are hundreds of recipes that we can offer you. While most recipes will contain ingredients that we will have readily to hand, it may be that you won’t be able to find them easily – so today we will start with something simple – Honey Massage Mask.

  • Ingredients: 2-3 teaspoons of fresh, raw honey (organic is best) at room temperature. This is a delicious, sweet way to soften, deeply hydrate, and moisturise your skin. This treatment leaves the skin with a rosy glow resulting from increased circulation and is recommended for all skin types.
  • Application: Honey thins and gets runnier as it warms to skin temperature, so be sure to wear a shower cap or to pull your hair off your face and neck prior to application. Using your fingers, apply a very thin coating of honey to your face, neck, and décolletage. Lie down and relax for 15 minutes or longer.
  • As you relax – breathe quietly and slowly in through your nose and out through your mouth. Your skin will feel very warm and relaxed. Before rising, pat your skin gently with your finger-tips as if you were playing the piano. Rinse using a very warm damp, cloth. You won’t be disappointed.

The Benefits of Honey Massage Mask

Do you know that women on average use 12 personal care products daily and men aren’t far behind? Every day we use soap, body scrub, face cleanser, night cream, after shave, perfume, deodorants and others. All of this rubbed onto your skin – which is after all like a thousand little mouths, waiting to absorb what you put on it.

The official term is transdermis penetration and to what degree they penetrate depends on the molecular size of the particular ingredients of the substance, the condition of your skin at the time, and of course the temperature of your skin – for example if you are just out of the shower.

If you are sceptical, then think of the popular drugs (patches) that are sold for topical use to help you stop smoking and such, while all sorts of topical lotions are prescribed by your doctor for all sorts of skin problems and health issues. The problem is that many of these – even high-value, expensively packaged and superbly advertised products that promote wellness and beauty may contain highly toxic and irritating ingredients – as can been seen by the number of people who end up with allergic reactions.

At Moss-Grove we are committed to the use of only natural ingredients. Some of the things that we use for our own use don’t keep – they couldn’t be sold commercially. But you can make them yourself and keep safely in your own fridge for a week or two. Thus from time to time we will publish recipes for natural skin-care treatments such as the simple but effective Honey Massage Mask.
